Year 11–12 · QCE

Maths Methods tutoring in Brisbane.

Small group support for QCE Mathematical Methods from ATAR 99+ tutors who sat the current syllabus themselves. Two campuses on Brisbane's southside: Mansfield and Stretton.

The Subject

What Maths Methods demands

Mathematical Methods is a QCE General subject built around functions, calculus, and statistics. It runs across four units, with Units 3 and 4 counting toward the final subject result through three internal assessments and an external exam.

The assessment structure rewards exam performance. IA1 is a problem-solving and modelling task worth 20%, IA2 and IA3 are exams worth 15% each, and the external exam is worth 50% of the subject, sat as a technology-free paper and a technology-active paper. Half the subject rides on how you perform under exam conditions at the end of Year 12.

At Lee Excellence Education, Methods students are supported inside our High School Group Tutoring program. Tutors are ATAR 99+ graduates who sat QCAA exams within the last few years, and sessions are built around your school's assessment: current topics, past papers, and working habits that hold up under time pressure.

How It Works

How Methods support runs

Maths Methods is covered within High School Group Tutoring, our program for Years 7–12.

Small groups of 4–6

Each tutor works with 4–6 students, circulating to check working line by line. Enough peers to learn from, few enough for personal attention every session.

Your school work first

Bring current Methods topics, assignment drafts, or past papers. The tutor prioritises what you are actually assessed on, not a parallel curriculum.

Weekly sessions, exam habits

Sessions of 2–3 hours run after school on weekdays and through Saturday at both campuses, with timed exam-style practice as assessment approaches.

I've had a great experience with Lee Excellence Mansfield. The tutors are really patient and take the time to explain things properly, which made a big difference for my child's confidence and results. You can tell they genuinely care about the students.

Honestly, if I could I would give this lovely place a 10/10!! Words cannot explain how much the lovely tutors helped my kids. The tutors have provided them with long term guidance and mentorship and of course, honed their educational ability.

M L

Great tutor with real experience. My son has impressively improved in little time. I tried so many tutors (more than 10) around Brisbane but Lee classes are the best so far. Thank you.
